In the mobile app: the **Inspections** tab. It's the first screen you see after you sign in. The **Inspections** list shows the jobs you have coming up, grouped by day. Each card tells you at a glance when the job is, who the client is, the price, and whether the agreement is signed, the fee is paid and the report is published. The app shows "Reports portal link copied to clipboard". | | **Cloud button** | Downloads today's inspections to the phone so they work without signal. It turns green, with a tick, when every inspection in **Today** is on the phone. See [Download inspections for offline use](#download-inspections-for-offline-use). | | **Car button** | Opens route planning. Pick a day in the next week, and the app lays out that day's confirmed inspections in order, with driving time, distance and a map. You can open the route in your maps app. | | **Search bar** | Finds an inspection by address, client or agent. See [Search](#search). | | **Filter button** (sliders icon) | Picks which statuses the list shows. Only **Confirmed** at first. See [Show other statuses](#show-other-statuses). | ## How the list is grouped Inspections are grouped by the day they're scheduled, in your company's time zone. Within a day they're in time order. Tap a heading to collapse or expand it. The number next to a heading is how many cards it holds. | Heading | Inspections scheduled | | - | - | | **Today** | Today. Inspections with no date yet also show here. | | **Tomorrow** | Tomorrow. | | **Next 5 Days** | From the day after tomorrow up to five days from today. | | **Later** | After that. | | **Previous** | Before today, most recent first. | A heading with nothing in it doesn't show. In the screenshot above there's nothing tomorrow, so **Tomorrow** is missing. ![The same list scrolled down. Tap it to open it. * It first shows the inspections from roughly the last two weeks, which are already on your phone. * Older inspections load from Hive when you ask for them. Tap **Show older inspections** at the bottom of **Previous**, then **Show more** for the next page. **No older inspections** means you've reached the end. * **1+** next to the heading means there are more older inspections you haven't loaded yet. * Loading older inspections needs an internet connection. ## What each card shows | Part of the card | What it means | | - | - | | **Time and date** (top left) | Start and end time, then the day. The end time comes from the inspection's length. The year shows only when it isn't this year. | | **Status** (top right) | **Confirmed**, **Waiting**, **Review**, **Draft** or **Canceled**, in the same colors as the dashboard. See [Inspection statuses](https://docs.hiveinspect.com/how-tos/inspection-statuses.md). | | **Photo** | The property's banner photo. A house icon shows when the inspection has none. | | **Name** | The client. | | **Price** | The inspection total. It's hidden for a \$0 inspection. | | **Address** | The property address, including the unit. | | **Signed** | Green tick when every agreement is signed, or when the inspection has no agreements. An empty circle means at least one is still waiting. | | **Paid** | Green tick when the fee is fully paid. A red **Unpaid** means money is still due, including part-paid inspections. A \$0 inspection shows **No fee**. | | **Published** | Green tick when every report is published, or when the inspection has no reports. An empty circle means at least one report isn't published yet. | | **Download / Downloaded** | Only on today's inspections. See below. | | **Initials** (bottom right) | The inspectors assigned, up to three, then **+2** and so on. | Tap anywhere on a card to open the inspection's summary screen, where you start or continue the report. See [Mobile app basics](https://docs.hiveinspect.com/inspections-and-reports/mobile-app.md). Inspection events, such as a radon pickup or a re-inspection visit, show as their own cards on the day of the event. Tap one to see the event's details. ## Download inspections for offline use Today's inspections have a download status on their card: | On the card | Meaning | | - | - | | **Download** (blue) | Not on the phone yet. Tap it to download that inspection now. | | **Downloading** | It's downloading. | | **Downloaded** (green cloud) | The inspection and its reports are on the phone. You can open and work on it without signal. | To download all of today's inspections at once, tap the **cloud button** at the top. The app tells you how many are ready, for example "2 inspections ready for offline use", or "No inspections for you today". While the app is open, it also downloads today's inspections on its own. You can change that, or limit it to Wi-Fi, in **My Profile → Offline Download**. If the phone loses signal, an **Offline Mode** banner shows at the top: "Showing cached data from" and the time the list was last loaded. The list refreshes on its own when you're back online. ## Search Type in **Search address, client, email, phone, or event...** It matches: * the property address; * the name, email, phone or business name of the inspection's clients and agents, so a full name like `Jordan Taylor` works; * inspection events, by their name or description. Tap the **×** in the search bar to clear it. Search covers the inspections in your list straight away. When you're online and type at least two characters, it also searches your older inspections on Hive, and those results show under **Previous**. Tap **Show more results** there for more. Offline, it searches only what's on the phone. Search only looks inside the statuses you're showing. Tap the filter button Tap the square button with the sliders icon, to the right of the search bar. ### 2. Tick the statuses you want Tick any of **Confirmed**, **Waiting**, **Review**, **Draft** and **Canceled**. At least one must stay ticked. ### 3. Tap Done Tap **Done**, or tap outside the panel. The list reloads. While you're showing anything other than **Confirmed** only, the filter button turns blue with a count, and a row of colored chips shows under the search bar. Tap the **×** on a chip to remove that status, or **Reset** to go back to **Confirmed** only. The app also goes back to **Confirmed** only each time it's opened. For more on filtering, see [Inspection list filters](https://docs.hiveinspect.com/how-tos/inspection-list-filters.md#filter-the-list-in-the-mobile-app). ## Whose inspections you see By default, the list shows the inspections assigned to you, plus any with no inspector. To see the whole team's, go to **My Profile → Inspection List View** and turn on **Show All Inspections**. On the same screen, **Show Inspection Events** shows or hides event cards. It's on by default. These settings are saved on that phone only. **Show All Inspections** can't show inspections your account isn't allowed to see. Without the **Schedule Management** permission you only ever see your own. See [Team permissions](https://docs.hiveinspect.com/business-tools/team-permissions.md). ## Common questions > **Why can't I see an inspection that's on the dashboard?** > > Check these in order: > > 1. **Status.** The list shows only **Confirmed** at first. Waiting, Review, Draft and Canceled inspections need the [status filter](#show-other-statuses). > 2. **Date.** Inspections more than about two weeks old are under **Previous**. Open it and tap **Show older inspections**, or search for the client or address. > 3. **Assigned to someone else.** Turn on **Show All Inspections** in **My Profile → Inspection List View**. > 4. **Not refreshed.** Pull the list down to refresh it. > **Why does an inspection say Unpaid when the client paid part of it?** > > The card shows **Paid** only when nothing is left to pay. A part-paid inspection still shows **Unpaid**. Open the inspection to see what's due. > **Why is Published ticked on an inspection I haven't started?** > > **Published** is ticked when every report is published, and also when the inspection has no reports at all. The same goes for **Signed** and agreements. > **Why don't tomorrow's inspections have a Download button?** > > Download is only for today's inspections. Tomorrow's get it on the day. You can still open any inspection while you're online. > **The list says No Scheduled Inspections. What now?** > > You have no confirmed inspections coming up, and none from the last two weeks. Book one from the **Schedule** tab or the dashboard.
