# What's New in Hive Inspect: Jul 5, 2026

> Rebuilt image annotation toolbar with crop and magnifier, multi-recipient automations, customizable recommendation services, HomeGauge imports, and more.

## New this week

### Improved image annotation toolbar

We rebuilt the image annotation experience on both the mobile app and the web report editor. You now have:

* **Crop** functionality
* A **magnifier loupe** to spotlight fine detail
* A more modern annotation UI on the web editor

### Multiple recipients per automation

Add multiple recipients to the same automation. Want one automation to reach both the buyer and the agent? Multi-select the recipients. Fewer duplicate automations for different contact types and a lot more flexibility. See [Automations](/contacts-and-automation/automations).

### Customizable recommendation services

Hive used to ship a fixed list of recommended services. Now you can tailor that list to your business: add services, remove services, and reorder them. Find it under **Business Tools → Recommendation Services**. See [Recommended Contractors](/how-tos/recommended-contractors).

### Editable invoice line-item names

Click **Edit Pricing** on an inspection order to rename or remove an invoice line item, not just change its price.

### HomeGauge template importer

DIY template imports now support Spectora, HIP, and HomeGauge. See [Inspection Templates](/templates/inspection-templates).

### Clockwise image rotation

The image annotator now rotates clockwise as well as counterclockwise, on both the web and mobile report editors.

### Spanish conversion for TREC reports

Spanish report conversion now works for TREC-format reports too; it was previously limited to regular reports.

### Volume-button capture on Android

Use the volume up or down button to take photos with the in-Hive camera, previously iOS only.

### Smarter private notes indicator

The mobile app now only highlights the private notes/reminder button when a section actually has content inside.

### Offline pricing tester for services

Enter basic details and confirm your pricing rules work as expected. Find it under **Business Tools → Services and Pricing**. See [Services & Fees](/business-tools/services-and-fees).

### Merge two contacts into one

When the same agent used multiple email addresses, their history got split across duplicates. Merging updates every inspection where either was assigned, keeping your agent records and metrics clean. See [Import Contacts](/contacts-and-automation/import-contacts).

### Better color legend for multi-inspector firms

The inspection list's assignment color legend is clearer, so it's easier to see who's assigned to what.

### Refreshed calendar view

Redesigned to be more intuitive and easier to use.

### Limitations behind a tab (optional)

Prefer to tuck limitations behind a tab instead of listing them under the main information? Choose that layout in **Template Tools** inside the template editor.

### More visual distinction on reports

Enable a setting to show information comments with a subtle green background and limitation comments with a subtle yellow background. Find it under **Settings → Organization → Report Viewing**.

### Inspection map metrics

New map metrics plot your inspection sites as pins so you can see them geographically. Data refreshes every Sunday night.
