# What's New in Hive Inspect: May 25, 2026

> Defect counts by category, webhooks in automations, mileage tracker, CSV exports, international support, and more

## New this week

### Defect count by category in reports

Optionally show the number of defects in each category, off by default. Turn it on by clicking the three dots on a template in **Templates** and selecting **Template tools**.

### Choose which categories show in the Defect summary

Hide any category you'd rather leave out. All categories show by default; adjust it by clicking the three dots on a template in **Templates** and selecting **Template tools**.

### Rename the "Defects/Deficiencies" comment type

Prefer wording like "Observations"? Set your own label in **Settings → Organization → Report Writing → Comment Type Header for Defects/Deficiencies**.

### See all inspections linked to a contact

Open any contact and click **Show Linked Inspections** to view every inspection tied to them.

### Webhooks in automations

Connect your external CRM to Hive from **Automations**.

### Per-inspection agreement editing

Edit an attached agreement for one specific inspection. Click the pen icon in the **Services** section on the order page.

### CSV export for inspections and earnings

Export your inspection and earnings data to CSV from the **Payments** page.

### Mileage Tracker

Track mileage for solo and multi-inspector firms, with CSV export. Find it in **Business tools → Mileage Tracker**.

### Comment search in the Template editor

Search your comments right in the template editor, with search history—just like the report editor. Open any template from **Templates** and you'll see the search bar.

### Internationally compliant

Hive now works for inspectors beyond the US and Canada.

### Appropriate PDF naming

Downloaded PDFs used to get a generic name like "full report.pdf" or "summary report.pdf." From now on they're named dynamically as `<address>-<report type>.pdf`.
