# What's New in Hive Inspect: Oct 18, 2026

> AI Repair Estimator, Cost to Cure with your own repair prices, service prices in agreements, team-wide and repeating calendar events, and Smart Add for hidden sections.

In our last update, Cost to Cure and the AI Repair Estimator were listed as coming soon. Both are now live.

## New this week

### AI Repair Estimator

Hive can now create AI repair cost estimates based on the defects in your report. These are AI-generated estimates. They aren't sent to your client by default, but you can share them if you want to. They're mainly for buyer agents: they give the agent a starting cost for each repair when negotiating with the seller for your client. See [Repair Estimator](/how-tos/repair-estimator#what-the-repair-estimator-does).

### Cost to Cure with your own repair prices

You can now add your own repair price to each defect and show them in a Cost to Cure table in your report. This is especially useful for commercial inspections. See [Cost to Cure](/how-tos/cost-to-cure).

### Service prices in agreements

This was one of the most requested features from our inspectors. The agreement editor has a new **\$ Service Price** button. Use it to insert the price of any service or add-on into your agreement, and Hive fills in the actual price from the order. It's especially handy if you have a separate agreement for an ancillary service like radon, mold, or WDO. See [Agreements](/business-tools/agreements).

### Hive Calendar: team-wide and repeating events

Two new options in the Hive Calendar engine:

* **Events for everyone:** schedule team meetings, marketing events, or office days once, and they show up on everyone's calendar. Click **Add Event** and choose **Everyone** as the assignee.
* **Repeating events:** set any event to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, and more.

## More improvements this week

### Smart Add unhides hidden sections

If Smart Add matched a comment inside a hidden section or subsection, the comment used to stay hidden in the report. Smart Add now tells you when a matched comment sits in a hidden section or subsection. When you check that comment, Hive unhides the section automatically so the comment appears in your report. See [Smart Add](/how-tos/smart-add).

### Default annotation shape on the web

You can now set your default annotation shape (arrow, circle, box, and more) for the web report editor too. Before, this was only available in the mobile app. Set it under **Business Tools → Report Customization**. See [Report Customization](/how-tos/report-customization).

### Multiple CC emails on a contact

You can now add more than one email in a contact's CC field. Separate them with commas. This is useful when a buyer's agent wants their team or assistant copied on every email.

### Inspection date on invoices

Invoices now show the inspection date, along with the invoice date and property address.

## Coming soon

* **API and MCP access for Hive**: connect Hive with your other tools, and with AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude, so you can ask questions about your own inspections, contacts, and agents.
