# Agent Portal: What Buyer's Agents See in Hive Inspect

> What real estate agents see in the Hive Inspect agent portal: their clients' inspections, the defects summary, a repair request builder and the PDF download.

## What the agent portal is

Agents get their own portal that lists their clients' inspections in one place. Inspections are sorted by inspection date. Inspections older than one month sit behind a **Show More** button.

Agents read the same interactive online report as your clients. See [Client portal](/inspections-and-reports/client-portal) for the client's view.

## Send agents the portal link

* When you publish a report, Hive sends the report-ready email or text to the client and agent automatically through your automations. See [Automations](/contacts-and-automation/automations).
* To put the agent portal link in your own emails, use the **Reports** placeholder, `{{{agent_reports_portal_link}}}`. It links to the agent reports portal with the Buyer Agent role. You'll find it under **Business Tools → Placeholders → Links**.

## What agents can do

### Read the report or the defects summary

Agents open the full interactive report with photos. **View Summary** switches to a summary that shows only the defects. Readers can also search the report to find a specific comment.

### Build a repair request

The **Repair Addendum** button lets the agent pick defects from the published report, ask for a repair or a credit with a dollar amount and comment, and click **Create Repair Addendum** to get a PDF with photos. The addendum is a separate PDF, so your report never changes. See [Repair addendum](/how-tos/repair-addendum).

You control whether agents see it under **Business Tools → Report Customization → Repair Addendum → Show Repair Addendum to Buyer's Agent**.

### See recommended contractors

If you attach recommended contractors to defects, the digital report shows a recommendation link on those defects. Clicking it shows the contractor's details. Contractors appear in the digital report only, not in the PDF. See [Recommended contractors](/how-tos/recommended-contractors).

### Download the PDF

**Download PDF** saves the report as a PDF. Every report is available as a full PDF and a summary PDF.

## See when agents open the report

* **Portal Activity** on the inspection order page shows who opened the report and when, for clients and buyer's agents. The **Portal Activity** page in the dashboard covers all inspections.
* To get an email whenever someone opens your report, turn on **Org Settings → Business Management → Email me on report activity**.
