Adding Recommended Contractors to Defects
1. Introduction to Recommended Contractors 0:00- Purpose: To help customers find contractors for defects without needing to call for recommendations.
- Benefit: Streamlines the process for customers.
- Navigate to your account’s business tools.
- Select the ‘Recommended Contractors’ option.
- Click the ‘Add Contact’ button to add a new contractor.
- Alternatively, click ‘Edit’ on an existing contact to update information.
- Fill in basic information:
- Phone number
- Email address
- Website
- Description of services offered.
- Multi-select the services that the contractor provides.
- This ensures customers see relevant contractors for their specific needs.
- Input zip codes where the contractor operates:
- Add multiple zip codes by clicking ‘Add’ after each entry.
- This helps customers know the areas served by the contractor.
- After entering all necessary information, click ‘Save Changes’ to update the contractor’s profile.
- Example: A report showing a defect (e.g., ‘basement window cracked’).
- Customers can click on the recommendation link to view contractor details.
- When clicked, a pop-up displays the contractor’s information.
- If multiple contractors are available, a list will show all options.
- Information is available only in the digital report, not in the PDF version.
- This feature enhances convenience for customers seeking contractor services.
