Hive keeps your reports and inspection data for as long as your account exists. Reports don’t expire, and we don’t delete old ones to save space. That stays true whether you’re on a plan, on the free trial, or have cancelled.

What we keep

None of these are deleted after a set time: A report from years ago opens the same way as one from last week. Find it on the Inspections page with the list filters. The report links you send to clients and agents don’t expire. They can open the report, download the PDF, sign agreements and pay invoices at any time. Once a client can open a report, they lose access only if you lock it, unpublish it or delete the inspection.

If you cancel your subscription

We keep everything. Cancelling stops you creating new inspections, but your reports, templates, contacts and past inspections all stay, with no time limit. You can still sign in and open them, and your clients can still open their reports. When you start a plan again, everything is where you left it. See What we do with your data after you cancel.

When data is removed

Your data is only removed when you, or someone on your team, remove it, or when you ask us to:

Keep your own copy

Your reports are safe in Hive, but you can save copies anywhere you like:
  • A report: open it in the Web Editor, click PDF at the top right, then View PDF, and save the file.
  • Contacts: Contacts → Export to CSV. See Export to CSV.
  • Earnings: Export to CSV on the Earnings page. See Export to CSV.

Common questions
