  • Socials: your social media links, shown to clients in the report portal and on your public page.
  • FAQ Management: the questions and answers clients see on the FAQs page of the report portal.
  • Marketing Kit: Hive logos and ready-made images for your website and marketing.
You need the Business Tools permission to open them. See What each permission does.

Socials

The Socials page with an Add Social button and three links: Facebook riverahomeinspections, Instagram riverainspects and YouTube @riverahomeinspections, each with Preview, Change and Remove buttons, and a How Socials Work box You can add one link for each of these platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
  1. Open Business Tools → Socials.
  2. Click Add Social (or Add your first social if you have none yet).
  3. Under Platform, choose the platform. Only platforms you haven’t added yet are listed.
  4. Paste your page or profile address under Link. The hint under the box tells you which address to use, for example “Use your profile URL: instagram.com/yourhandle”.
  5. Click Add. You see Social link added.
The Add a Social Link window with LinkedIn chosen as the platform, a Link box holding a linkedin.com company address, the hint Use your company or profile URL on linkedin.com, and Cancel and Add buttons You can leave off the https://; Hive adds it. The link has to be on that platform’s site. If it isn’t, you see an error such as URL does not look like a instagram link. Once all five platforms are added, Add Social is greyed out.
  • Preview opens the link in a new tab so you can check it.
  • Change lets you paste a new address for that platform. Click Save.
  • Remove asks “Remove your Facebook link?” (or whichever platform). Confirm to delete it.
Social links don’t appear on PDF reports or in emails.

Report Portal FAQs

Every report you publish has an FAQs page in the client portal, in the left sidebar. It shows “Frequently Asked Questions” as a list clients click to open. FAQ Management is where you write your own. Until you add any, clients see Hive’s five default home-inspection FAQs instead: The Frequently Asked Questions page in the client portal, subtitled Common questions about our home inspection services, with five default questions: What is included in a home inspection, How long does a home inspection take, Do I need to be present during the inspection, How soon will I receive my inspection report, and What if the inspection reveals problems
  • What is included in a home inspection?
  • How long does a home inspection take?
  • Do I need to be present during the inspection?
  • How soon will I receive my inspection report?
  • What if the inspection reveals problems?
As soon as you add one FAQ of your own, clients see only your FAQs. The defaults are no longer shown, so add every question you want clients to see.
The default answers say a typical inspection takes 2-3 hours and the report usually arrives within 24 hours. If that isn’t true for you, add your own FAQs.
Your own FAQs also appear in the FAQs section of your public page. The defaults never do.

Add an FAQ

  1. Open Business Tools → FAQ Management.
  2. Click Add FAQ (or Add Your First FAQ).
  3. Type the Question and the Answer. Both are required.
  4. Click Add FAQ. You see FAQ created successfully.
The Add FAQ window with the description Add a new frequently asked question to your report portal, a Question box with Do you inspect pools and spas?, an Answer box, the hint URLs will be automatically displayed as clickable links, and Cancel and Add FAQ buttons Web addresses that start with http:// or https:// turn into clickable links, in FAQ Management and in the portal. Line breaks you type are kept in the portal.

Edit, delete and order

The FAQ Management page with four FAQs, each with an edit and a delete icon: How long does the inspection take, Can I attend the inspection, When will I get my report, and Do you test for radon with a clickable pricing link in the answer, and a Report Portal FAQs info box

  • Delete: click the trash icon, then Delete in Delete FAQ?. This can’t be undone.
  • Order: FAQs show in the order you added them, and each new one goes to the bottom. There’s no way to drag them into a new order. To move one, delete it and add it again, or edit the existing FAQs so their text is in the order you want.
