Send emails from your own domain

You can now have Hive send your automated emails from your own business domain. Just verify your domain with our system and you’re set. A business email is required (it won’t work with Gmail or other personal emails)—but our current setup works great even without it, so no stress if you don’t have one. Find it in Settings → Organization → Sender Email Verification.

In-Hive refunds

Manage all your refunds right inside Hive instead of jumping over to Stripe. On the inspection order page, go to Fees and Payment → Refund Payment and issue a partial or full refund. If you’re a non-admin in a multi-inspector company, you’ll need the right permission enabled from your Teams settings.

Annotations on CYA images

CYA photos used to be simple image clicks. Now you can add annotations, captions, and location tags to them—straight from your mobile app or the web report editor.

Enhanced comment search on mobile

A round of improvements to search in the mobile apps:
  • Filters for information, limitation, and defect comments.
  • Search the entire report with a single tap—not just the current section or subsection.
  • List all flagged comments and search within just those from the search screen.
  • Comments under hidden sections/subsections are now highlighted properly in search results.

Filter the defect summary on mobile

The mobile defect summary screen can now filter comments by category (it was already available in the web report editor). So when you’re walking a client through the summary at the end of an inspection, you can hide the categories you don’t want to cover.

Separate bed & bath fields

Bedroom and bathroom counts are now recorded in their own separate fields on the inspection order page, instead of being squeezed into a single “Bed and Bath” field.

Location tags on report thumbnails

Location tags now show right on the thumbnail view of digital reports. Previously only captions and annotation overlays appeared on the thumbnail and clients had to open the image to see location tags. We merged the two separate search bars on the dashboard into one search at the top, removing a common point of confusion.

Compose email now tracked in automations

When you send a one-off email to a contact via “Compose email,” it now attaches to that inspection’s automation tracker too, so it shows up in the inspection’s automation history.

Re-inspection carries over photo edits

Original photos now bring all their location tags, annotations, and captions across to the re-inspection report—visible in your mobile and web report editors and in the final reports.

Search bar on the business tools page

With new tools landing roughly every two weeks, the business tools page was getting crowded. There’s now a search bar to find the right page fast.

Forgot password on mobile

Added a “Forgot password” link in the mobile app so you can reset from anywhere.

Text a contact from mobile

Added a Text button alongside Call and Email for contacts on the inspection summary screen in the mobile app.

Improved subsection rating UI

Cleaner UI for subsection rating taps on the mobile app.
