Include defect count by category in the report

Some inspectors prefer to show the number of defects, while others don’t—there’s a trade-off between providing more information and making the report look less alarmist. Now you can do whatever suits your business. There’s a setting to turn it on in Template tools, and it’s off by default.

Show limited categories in the Defect summary

Want to leave a category—say, “Blue”—out of the summary? These settings let you do exactly that. By default, all three categories are selected. You’ll find both of the above settings by going to Templates from the sidebar and clicking the three dots → Template tools.

Reword the “Defects/Deficiencies” comment type

Inspectors coming from other software were often used to wording like “Observations,” which looks less alarmist. You can now give this comment type a custom name in Settings → Organization → Report Writing → Comment Type Header for Defects/Deficiencies.

See all inspections linked to a contact

Select Contacts from the sidebar, open any contact, and click the new Show Linked Inspections button to view every inspection associated with them.
